CLAIRE CONNOR
Rosie: Note To Self was Claire Connor’s debut novel co-authored with G.P. Taylor. Before going to work as PA for the New York Times bestselling children’s author, and plucking up the courage to show him some of her writing, Claire worked for the Birmingham-based charity Catholic Student Council before becoming lay chaplain at King’s College London School of Medicine. Claire returned to North Yorkshire to live with her parents when she found out she was pregnant and then later retrained as a holistic therapist.
Single mum Claire has now signed a five-book publishing deal for a six figure sum and has also been in talks with film producers who are keen to buy the rights to the chick-lit book
Claire said, “For the past few years I’ve been juggling two jobs and bringing up my daughter while writing in my spare time, so to sign a five-book publishing deal is a dream come true.”
Claire’s hobbies include collecting shoes (43 pairs to date) and playing trombone in a swing band. She has a pathological hatred of balloons and a love of canal boats and coconut rum. She currently lives in Scarborough with her daughter Sophie.
